Hello my friends. Today, I’m going to share with you my recent beauty habit using a DIY hair potion. It’s a potion because it magically transforms hair. I started using Rosemary oil for my hair, maybe some 2 years ago. Courtesy of my friend, Mane. According to research, Rosemary oil is beneficial for hair growth.

At first, I mixed a few drops of Rosemary oil with my shampoo and conditioner. This past year, I started mixing 2-3 drops of Rosemary oil with each amount shampoo and conditioner I use, every time I shower. So that’s 4-6 drops of Rosemary oil every day. The results are amazing. I no longer have to use a comb. My hair has become really soft and thick. But wait, there’s more.

Lately, I started using Castor oil for my eyelashes and eyebrows. And it works like a miracle. It did not necessarily lengthen my eyelashes, but it did make them thicker and stronger. I now have more eyelashes.

Realizing that both oils have amazing effects, and wanting to have a much thicker hair, I decided to mix them both. While I was at it, I added other essential oils in the mix and I was very happy with the outcome – my very own, DIY hair potion!

Below is the list of oils used:

  • Rosemary oil
  • Castor oil
  • Olive oil
  • Jojoba oil
  • Argan oil
  • Sunflower oil

I wasn’t entirely sure about the amount so I filled up to 1/6 of my container for each oil. This is the result:

I apply this on my scalp first, massaging a little, then applying some more to the tips of my hair. I don’t put a lot because this is concentrated. Just enough that I can see the oiliness of my hair. I leave it on for about 2 hrs and rinse it off. I still add Rosemary oil to my conditioner just so I can comb my hair easily after shower. You’ll notice the difference on your first try. Do this 2-3 times a week, or whenever you feel like it.
